Josefine has meanwhile risen to become the owner of the “artists’ paradise” and only the most respected gentlemen go in and out of her place. It is therefore not surprising when the fine gentlemen send their sons to Josefine for an apprenticeship. She likes to take many youngsters under her wing. But when Loisl wants to bring his freshly acquired experience to the daughter of his teacher, this leads to a spontaneous sacking and almost to a scandal. But again the Mutzenbacher has everything under control and masters the situation in her own way.
